I've been going through my portfolio, tossing drawings. Time to make room for the new. I did find some pencils from a past client that were supposed to be painted, but never got to that stage. I liked the line drawing enough to hang on to them for this long. This weekend I painted them for the heck of it. I've been really trying to use my watercolors more, getting to a point where I can do a quick illustrated painting like these fairly quick-like. The compositions are a bit static, but they were from the olden days. ;) I'm into action now. Haha. So my newer stuff will hopefully reflect more of that.
This gal is almost too big for my portfolio. Definitely too big for the internet to read the detail I put into her. I have a cropped version of her in my watercolor pieces, but I wanted her somewhere on my website in complete form with some details too. Because ... *sniff* I worked hard on her and I can't quite find the right place to explain that.
I figure this is as good a place as any.
