But after a frustrating couple hours I ended up with an image I didn't really like.
On a whim (at the end of a very long day) I ditched the outline and painted a "gesture" of a house and garden, and ended up liking it a lot better.
This second painting took me ten minutes.
For me, it was a lesson in letting go of my comfortable methods and changing up my style.
Not saying I'm giving up my black ink, but I do try to give myself a pat on the back when I practice something that's not as comfortable for me.
